find helpJob Problems Counseling Every Wednesday 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Central Time; Call 312-782-3902 Women Employed offers telephone counseling to callers facing employment-related problems. Callers are counseled on whether their situation may be unfair or illegal and what their options are. Information that counselors provide includes: tips for negotiating with an employer, guidance on filing a charge with city, county, state or federal fair-employment enforcement agencies, copies of Women Employed's employment law fact sheets or referrals to employment law attorneys in Illinois. The Job Problems Counseling service is staffed by volunteers who are trained in employment law. Women Employed cannot represent callers in any kind of employment-related matter.
