The Career Coach Curriculum

Strategies for Success in Career Development: The Career Coach Curriculum Guide provides community colleges, community organizations, and workforce development agencies with a high-quality tool to help guide clients or students through career exploration. Participants will learn how to match their skills, interests, lifestyle, and values with good careers, set a career goal, and make plans to reach it.

What is Strategies for Success?

  • A free career development curriculum guide based on Women Employed's popular Career Coach website
  • 16 easy lesson plans with handouts to help students learn about careers, choose a target career, and select the education or training they need to attain that career
  • A flexible resource that can be used with or without computers

How can you use Strategies for Success?

  • Develop an adult education career exploration course
  • Provide a career exploration and planning workshop for job-readiness training
  • Integrate career exploration into program orientations or existing college courses
  • Develop a college-level career exploration course
  • Provide a workshop to help transition adult education students into credit courses
