Women Employed has helped women advance in jobs and fields that used to be closed to them and changed the workplace for the better.  But we need to do more — millions of women in this country still do not have fair employment conditions or opportunities to advance. 

Women Employed is dedicated to meeting this challenge:

• We help low-income women attend college by advocating for tuition assistance and high-quality educational programs.
• We improve workplaces by advocating for fair pay and policies like paid time off for illness or family care.
• We provide Internet-based career development programs to help women plan for a better future. 

Women Employed’s 37-year track record includes strong enforcement of equal opportunity laws, helping to pass the Family and Medical Leave Act, and enabling thousands of women to get the education and training they need to advance to better jobs.
